Good morning students, families and staff! Here is your Monday Morning message from Ms. Kasner and Ms. Page. We hope you had a great weekend and were able to enjoy the sunshine a little bit.

The updates for this week are as follows:
May promotions: They are coming up soon! Please stay tuned for detailed information regarding promotions in the next week or so.
End-of-Year check-in: As you may have heard from the District already, beginning this week, one of our FSK staff or your child’s teacher will be contacting you to check in and see how you and your family have been doing during school closure. Every family from FSK will receive a phone call or Zoom invitation between Friday May 22nd and Friday May 29th. Phone calls may say “No Caller ID” but staff members will state their name and title from FSK. You will be asked how you and your family are doing and what support you may need for learning at home. After speaking with a staff member, if you have any further questions or need any further support, you may call the District’s Family Resource Link at (415) 340-1716 or visit them online.
Last week: As we’re nearing the end of the school year, we are focusing our work on the end-of-year check-ins and sharing your child’s progress with you. For this reason, between May 22nd – June 2nd, your child’s teacher may be notifying you of a different schedule. During this time, the District is not expecting your child’s teacher to provide new instructional materials, new video lessons, etc. as they will be focused on end-of-year activities. Some teachers, however, may still provide classwork through their online portals such as Google Classroom, Seesaw, etc. Your child may also take this time to review and complete any work they haven’t done, work in their print-based materials, or work with any other resources that their teacher has provided. Please reach out to Ms. Kasner or Ms. Page for any further questions or clarifications.
ParentVUE: We highly encourage you to activate your ParentVUE if you haven’t done so already. On the website, you may access important information about your child, including report cards! Please see the link on how to activate your ParentVUE account or how to access report cards in ParentVUE. If you do not know your ParentVUE activation code, you may contact Family Portal for assistance.
Extended School Year (ESY): ESY will be held virtually this year for those students who qualify. The District hopes to have all assignment letters mailed out today, Monday May 18th. Parents/guardians will be expected to accept or decline ESY placement by Friday, May 22nd. Please reach out to your child’s case manager for any questions or concerns.
