Thank you for your time meeting with your child’s teacher this past week. We also wanted to give a huge thanks to all our parents who have taken the time to fill out our school surveys lately. We know there is a lot of information going around and we are asking you to complete many surveys! Thank you for your time and dedication.

Upcoming events:
Community Town Hall meeting : Please join us for a very important, virtual joint community meeting with School Site Council (SSC) this Thursday March 18th at 6:30pm. Administration will have updates for our families regarding our recent SSC Community Survey, as well as updates on our plan for returning to in-person learning for students K-5. Please join us as we answer questions you may have regarding students coming back to in-person learning and our hybrid model!
- 6:30 – 7:00pm – Sharing information from SSC survey and priorities for 2021-2022 school year
- 7:00 – 7:45pm – Sharing information regarding school reopening (Please see our FAQ sheet)
We have prepared a Google Form for questions you may have related to school reopening, in-person learning and distance learning for the remainder of the school year. We will share the information we have at this moment and best answer the questions you provide. - 7:45 – 8:30pm – Live Q&A to answer any other questions regarding school reopening

Return to In-Person Learning updates :
Please visit our school’s FAQ sheet (Frequently Asked Questions ) for more information specific to FSK regarding in-person learning. In-Person learning school schedule will be from 9:30am – 2:30pm (for in-person only; virtual schedule is still TBD). This time only applies to the rest of the school year. We will send families the specific daily schedule before March 29, 2021 including specific plans for arrival & dismissal times, as well as Distance Learning schedules.
- K-2nd grade students are set to return week of April 12th
- K-5 Mod/Severe students are set to return on April 12th
- 3-5 Mild/Mod students are set to return on April 26th (Date still to be confirmed)
- 3-5th grade students are on track to return week of April 26th (Date still to be confirmed)

—> 3rd – 5th Grade Families : You should have received your survey for Returning to In-Person learning on Tuesday March 9th. If you did not, please reach out to Ms. Page (pagem@sfusd.edu) or Ms. Betty (lamb1@sfusd.edu) to request your survey link. Please complete the survey by March 16th. If you do not fill out the survey, we might not be able to accommodate a space for your student for in-person learning.
For families returning to in-person learning, please review the following information to help prepare you and your children for a healthy and safe return to school:

1. FSK PTA Online Auction & FREE Activity Sessions, March 13-19.
- We saw a fantastic turnout at the kickoff of our Online Auction (32auctions.com/FSKAPE2021), which has many great items available and runs through 2pm on March 19.
- Don’t miss our FREE, fun, family activity sessions daily from March 14-19.
- Please help us by sharing the Auction website with at least one other person (other FSK families, staff, friends, family, & neighbors) and bid on awesome items to help us raise much-needed funds for FSK. We hope to raise $35,000 at our Online Auction this year to support the purchase of new technology hardware, licenses for software programs for all 560 students, and more air purifiers, all of which will be important for when FSK reopens for on-site learning and in future years.

2. FSK PTA Board Member Positions Open for Fall 2021! We are looking for new PTA Board member candidates for our VP of Fundraising, VP of Membership and VP of Outreach roles starting this July, 2021. Please email Kai, our PTA Prez, before March 22nd at president@fskey.org if you’d like to join our Board so we may announce your candidacy at our next PTA Meeting (on March 23). We look forward to welcoming new Board members!
