Principal’s Monday Message ~ April 5th

Welcome to Week 30. We hope you had a restful Spring Break. We continue to work hard to prepare our site for students to return to in-person learning.  Please see the important updates below!

Updates:

FOR ALL STUDENTS:  This week (4/5 – 4/9) will be different so that teachers can return to site to prepare for in-person learning.

Monday 4/5 to Thursday 4/8:   Teachers will host 30 minutes of synchronous Zoom classes from 8:30am – 9:00am for all students K-5. Students will then complete asynchronous learning activities for the rest of the day. Specials (library, technology, PE, garden & art) will also provide asynchronous lessons for these days. Paraprofessionals will continue to provide synchronous support to their students for this week.

Friday 4/9:   This will be a regular scheduled day of Zoom lessons for all K-5 students. Your teacher will communicate any other details with their students.

FOR FAMILIES OF STUDENTS RETURNING TO  IN-PERSON  LEARNING:

Please mark your calendars for our VIRTUAL MANDATORY ORIENTATION this  Wednesday April 7, from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm where we will share important information with you about returning to in-person learning (Please Use Zoom sent by email.)

SFUSD has sent you a registration packet with forms for you to fill out.  Some of you had difficulty with the Risk Acknowledgement form online. If you have trouble submitting the form on ParentVue, you may print this form (English / Chinese), sign it, and bring it with you no later than Monday, April 12 or April 19 for 4th & 5th grade students. (If you would like to drop off a paper copy of the form, we will be on campus during the week of April 5th from 9:00am – 4:00 pm). Please make sure to submit all forms in person or on ParentVue before the first day of school for your child(ren).

Have a wonderful week this week!  We look forward to seeing many of you at our FSK site soon.

Sending hugs and love,

Ms. Kasner and Ms. Page
