Happy Week 31! We had a great first week back after Spring Break. Students enjoyed being back at school and in the Sunset sunshine. We’re gearing up for State testing with our 3rd – 5th graders. If your child is testing, please remind them to sleep well, have a healthy breakfast and simply try their best. Thank you to everyone who participated in our Rainbow picture on Friday. We proudly stand in solidarity with our LGBT community members!
Please make note of the following updates & reminders:
- ATTENTION 5th GRADERS: Our Panorama picture will be Monday April 11th @ 1:15pm on the yard. You can pre-order your picture and use the code: BY041109T0.
- Springboard is coming back to FSK! GREAT NEWS, we have been awarded the Springboard program again for this summer at FSK. The program will run from June 8th – July 7th (with no program for Juneteenth – date TBD – and July 4th) and will serve current Kinder, 1st, 2nd & 3rd grade students only. Students will receive literacy instruction in the morning and can attend after-school in the afternoon for a small fee. More details and information to come!
- Last Chance to Order your Yearbook! We have 2021-2022 yearbooks available for purchase! See the flyer here for more information. Purchase before April 15th.
- Kindergarten & 5th Grade Promotion Dates: Please mark your calendars for our 2022 Promotion Dates! More details will be shared by classroom teachers.
- Kindergarten: Thursday May 26th
- 5th Grade: Friday May 27th
- 2022-2023 After School Interest Form: If you are interested in having your child attend After-School at FSK NEXT SCHOOL YEAR, please fill out this Google Form. This is NOT the registration form. The link for registration will be emailed later on. Please reach out to Ms. Bel (bolivar@bacr.org) & Ms. Helene (hszabados@bacr.org) with more questions.
- Bike & Roll to School Week: The week of April 18 – April 22 is Bike & Roll to School Week! We encourage you to get around the city using your own power – walking, biking, scootering, skateboarding – it’s fun, healthy and green! You can join the FSK Bike Bus on Monday April 18th starting from the West end of Kirkham Street.
- FSK Maker Faire is back! Please join us on Saturday May 14th in the afternoon for our 5th Annual Maker Faire! This is a great event for students and adults to explore, discover, and create new things. We welcome any ideas and support for activities. Please email your questions and ideas to Ms. Rosalind ngr3@sfusd.edu and mark your calendar. Hope to see you all.
