Happy Week 32 from our wonderful Principals! Thanks for another successful week, FSK! This coming week, we have two Bike & Roll to School activities and our Saturday 4/23 Earth Day event. And, help our Earth by volunteering for beach cleanups – see more info here.
We might see some more rain this week so please remember to dress in layers and try to stay dry! If it is raining during morning drop off, students should go straight to the cafeteria. If it is raining during pick up, please review our rainy day map.
Good luck to our 3rd Graders this week as they begin SBAC testing. Please remember to get a good night’s rest, eat a hearty breakfast and try your best!
Please make note of the following updates & reminders:
- Springboard is back at FSK! We will host Springboard at FSK this summer for current Kinder, 1st, 2nd & 3rd grade students only. The program will run from June 8th – July 7th (with no program for Juneteenth – date TBD – and July 4th). Students will receive literacy instruction in the morning and can attend after-school in the afternoon for a small fee. More details and information to come!
- Bike & Roll to School Week: Get ready Bike & Roll to School!
- Monday April 18th – Join the Bike Bus from Kirkham Street @ 7:15am
- Thursday April 21st – Join the Bike & Roll from Playland @ 7:30am
- Earth Day Celebration & Teach-in: Join us Saturday, April 23rd from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM for an Earth Day celebration and teach-in on the FSK schoolyard! We would like to invite students and families to facilitate activities, workshops, lessons, demonstrations and/or presentations for this event. Please email Mr. Joel Reber (jreber@sfusd.edu) if you or your child would like to be a part of this event. We hope to see you there!
- 2022-2023 After School Interest Form: If you are interested in having your child attend After-School at FSK NEXT SCHOOL YEAR, please fill out this Google Form. This is NOT the registration form. The link for registration will be emailed later on. Please reach out to Ms. Bel (bolivar@bacr.org) & Ms. Helene (hszabados@bacr.org) with more questions.
- FSK Maker Faire is back! Please join us on Saturday May 14th in the afternoon for our 5th Annual Maker Faire! This is a great event for students and adults to explore, discover, and create new things. We welcome any ideas and support for activities. Please email your questions and ideas to Ms. Rosalind (ngr3@sfusd.edu) and mark your calendar. Hope to see you all.
