Get ready to Move, FSK!We are excited to host our 3rd annual FSK PTA Move-A-Thon event and Fundraiser from October 1–7, 2022! It is a celebration of movement and community, all while helping to raise much-needed funds for our wonderful public school.
What is a Move-A-Thon?
2022 FSK Move-A-Thon is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year! Funds raised are dedicated to enriching student programs such as art and recess programs at FSK.
We encourage all families to reach out to friends, family, neighbors & co-workers to support FSK elementary.
How you can help
Parents and students, you can help raise funds for FSK by reaching out to your family and friends by asking them for donations. Here are few talking points when asking for donations:
I’ll be participating and plan to run X laps around the school yard.
I am asking for donations to help support my school.
I hope that you will consider supporting me. I’m really excited to get moving.
Say your name, grade and why you love your school.
Did you know I walked 20 minutes today in support of my school fundraiser?
Thank you for supporting my school.
Participation and prizes
We will have awesome prizes for many different categories:
Top three individual students winners with the highest amounts of total pledges
The grade level with the highest amount of total pledges will get a special prize for ALL students in that grade-level.
New this year: a drawing contest! Best drawing in each grade wins a special prize. Let’s showcase your creativity!
We will also have prizes for each student that turns in a completed tracker and a pledge of at least $1 per student.
Here are a few ways to help encourage our students to get moving:
Join us Saturday, October 1st for a Move-A-Thon kickoff playdate from 10 am to noon at the FSK Yard. Bring your scooters, bikes, roller skates etc.
Participate in their P.E. class with Mr. Speidel
Join in their teacher’s active/fitness time at school
Engage in their after-school program recess/fitness time
Students can choose their own movement each day after school and over the weekend (bike, walk/hike, dance, scoot, skateboard, jump rope, play soccer/baseball/volleyball/basketball/other sport, roller blade, GoNoodle, Cosmic Yoga…the choices are endless!)
How to donate
Online: Online donations can be made at the top of this page. Please remind your friends and families to select your student’s grade/teacher within the drop down list.
By check: All donation checks must be made out to FSK PTA. Please place the checks in the envelope provided to each student, fill the label on the envelopes and return the envelope to your classroom teacher.
Cash: Cash donations may be submitted but not preferred as it is more difficult to track. Please place the cash in the same envelope for the checks and clearly label the amounts from cash and check on the envelope.
Note: The Move-A-Thon donation box will be located at our school’s main office (enter through 43rd Avenue entrance). You could drop off the envelope any time during the program. The cutoff time to drop off the envelopes is 12:45pm on Tuesday, October 11th. Please note that the daytime school office is NOT open during our after-school program hours. Please reach out to our Move-a-Thon Team if you have any questions: email@example.com.
