Science Sack Volunteers Needed

We are getting ready to start distributing the Science Sacks again!

For the new-to-FSK-parents, Science Sacks are a fun take-home science experiment program offered at FSK.
Approximately twice a month, a Science Sack will come home with your child on a Thursday. This program was introduced to FSK students to encourage an interest in science and reinforce the basic principles of physics, geology, chemistry and much more. Inside will be all the supplies and instructions for a science experiment along with a science notebook in which your child can record his or her observations about the experiment. The expectation is that parents and children will do the experiments together and return the Science Sack on Monday mornings.

This program is funded by the PTA and is run entirely by parent volunteers. Some duties for volunteers include checking inventory of sacks, preparing sacks for the following rotation, organizing notebooks with student observations and collecting science sacks as they return on Mondays. In order for this program to be a success, WE NEED YOUR HELP. Classrooms without enough volunteers may not be able to participate in the Science Sack Program.

If you would like to volunteer for the Science Sack Program, please email sciencesack@francisscottkeyschool.org.

If you have any questions about the program or volunteering, please contact the Science Sack Coordinators, Stephanie Yeap and Emi Aoshima, at sciencesack@francisscottkeyschool.org.
