Principals’ Morning Message ~ December 7th

Happy Week 16!   We hope you had a wonderful first week back and relaxing weekend. We have just two weeks before a well-deserved Winter Break!

We appreciate the families who were able to join us last week to hear the information and updates regarding School Renaming plan and School Reopening plan.  We know there is a lot of information going around about the reopening of FSK and we are working hard to clearly communicate the plans with all of you as they are made available to us.  The Board of Education will meet on Tuesday 12/8 at 3:00pm to further discuss reopening plans across the District. You may view Dr. Matthews most up-to-date plans here  and  access the BOE meeting using this information.  Please make sure to thoroughly read the Monday Morning Messages, our school website and any special messages directly from the principals to stay informed.

Some reminders for this week:

1. For our Moderate/Severe SDC students, Kindergarten, 1st grade & 2nd grade families: you should have received a survey where you can let us know if you are planning to sign up for in-person learning, or if you would like for your child to remain online.  PLEASE reach out to Ms. Kusuma (kusumap@sfusd.edu) or Ms. Betty (lamb1@sfusd.eduif you did NOT receive the survey.  This survey is incredibly important for us to correctly plan how we will reopen in-person learning for these students so please fill out the survey as soon as possible and BEFORE December 11th.

2. We will be hosting a Community meeting this Thursday 12/10 at 6:00-7:30pm with our School Name Change Committee (SNCC) to provide an opportunity for open discussion regarding our School Renaming process. Please join us if you have any questions or want to hear more! This is also your last chance to submit your ideas for a new school name!

3. Grab & Go Meals are still available for SFUSD students and their siblings. View locations and more information at  sfusd.edu/schoolfood.  Download Grab & Go Calendar & see December schedule here.

4.  Visit the SFUSD technology resources page at sfusd.edu/familytechnology for links to instructional videos, recorded webinars, and information on SFUSD technology tools and platforms during distance learning. If your child is getting disconnected from Zoom, it may be your Internet connection. Check out the Chromebook Troubleshooting and Hotspot Troubleshooting guides. Still need support? Submit a request for help!

5.  Looking ahead, the last day of Fall semester will be Friday 12/18. Winter break will take place from Monday December, 21st – Monday January, 4th.  Classes will resume on Tuesday January 5th, 2021.

Wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead!   Stay safe and stay kind.

Sending you all big hugs and love,

Ms. Kasner and Ms. Page

在sfusd.edu/schoolfood中查看位置和更多信息。下载Grab & Go Calendar日历。
