Principal’s Monday Message ~ March 29th

Happy Spring Break families & staff! This break is well deserved by all and we hope you are able to take some time to relax, unplug and recharge.

To help you plan ahead, we have a few updates for you. We want to remind you that the schedule for the week of April 5 – April 9 will be different from previous weeks:

Monday 4/5 to Thursday 4/8: Teachers will be returning to the school site to prepare classrooms for in-person learning. Therefore, teachers will host 30 minutes of synchronous Zoom classes from 8:30am – 9:00am for all students K-5. Students will then complete asynchronous learning activities for the rest of the day. Specials (library, technology, PE, garden & art) will also provide asynchronous lessons for these days.

Friday 4/9: This will be a regular scheduled day of Zoom lessons for all K-5 students.

For families returning to in-person learning:

—> Please submit the following forms on ParentVUE by Friday, April 9th.  (If you would like to drop off a paper copy of the forms, we will be on campus during the week of April 5th from 9:00 – 4:00 pm)

  1. Risk Acknowledgement Form (ParentVUE instructions at sfusd.edu/acknowledgements) or also on Page 55/English version of Placement packet –> CLICK HERE
  2. Immunizations and Tuberculosis Clearance (ParentVUE instructions at bit.ly/emergencycardinstructions)
  3. Emergency Card (ParentVUE instructions at bit.ly/emergencycardinstructions)

For Student with Special Education IEP only: In-Person Learning Prior Written Notice

Submit to your case manager by mail or email OR  Complete online at ParentVUE (portal.sfusd.edu)

Please review this Health and Safety Video with your child(ren) before returning to school.

Parents of the in-person learning students must attend the Mandatory Orientation meeting on Wednesday, April 7, from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm  (the Zoom link was shared by email).

Placement letters will be sent to families on Monday, March 29th. Please keep an eye out for your placement letter and registration packet (you may also view it here in various languages).

ONLY for 4th & 5th Grade families – if you haven’t heard which cohort (cohort A – Mon/Tues & cohort B – Thurs/Fri) your child is in, please reach out to your child’s teacher or Ms. Page (pagem@sfusd.edu).

For students remaining on Distance Learning:

Your daily schedule will be from 8:30 am – 10:30 am plus times for Specials.  Teachers will share with the students if there is any modification to the schedule.

*** At this time, we are at full capacity and unable to accommodate any more students for in-person learning.***
