Good morning, FSK families!
We can’t believe it’s Fall already! Our first day of school is next Monday, August 17th. We are so excited to begin this school year with all of you! Teachers officially report back to school today, Tuesday August 11th. When we come together, teachers will be working on their class schedule and getting ready for the start of school. Teachers will communicate with families by the middle of the week to let you know about your child’s schedule and invite you to your Grade Level Back to School Night Orientation where you can meet your teacher and other FSK staff!
Thank you to the 250 families who have filled out our Fall Family Survey! We are organizing the data to see how we can better support our families. Please fill it out by using this link if you haven’t done so already! As we are ready to launch Distance Learning for Fall 2020, we want to make sure that all students have adequate technology and internet access. If you need a device or access to internet at your house, please make sure to fill out the Technology Request form.
We will be distributing devices at FSK this coming Friday, August 14th according to the schedule below. When coming to school, please remember to abide by social distancing protocols, wear a mask and wash your hands. Please help us keep everyone safe by following the clearly marked areas for pick up.

We highly encourage all Kinder and 1st grade students to pick up a District device from us this Friday. The devices are specifically programmed with the online programs our teachers will be using during Distance Learning. They are also touchscreen so they are more user friendly for our younger students.
If you already picked up a school Chromebook from FSK last Spring, which is not touch screen, please come to school to exchange your device. Please make sure to return all necessary parts as well.
The District will be delivering print-based curriculum, instructional materials and supplies to our site next, Tuesday 8/18. As soon as materials arrive, we will quickly put things together for students and schedule another day for families to come pick up. We will communicate the date with you at another time.
Lastly, be on the lookout this week for information from your child’s teacher regarding Back to School Night Orientation information. We will be hosting grade level orientations this Thursday and Friday evening depending on your child’s grade level where you can meet our staff, ask questions and hear information about what Distance Learning will look like for your child.
