SFUSD is sending thrice-weekly updates on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  Please click on the link below if you didn't get yesterday's update:

Dear SFUSD Families:

We hope you and your family had a restful weekend. As a reminder, we are now sending you a brief digest three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, so please keep checking your email for updates from SFUSD. With this digest we intend to consistently update you with new information and celebrate our collective bright spots. We will continue to send any time-sensitive updates immediately.

  • Family Technology Information: While schools are temporarily closed, SFUSD is working to ensure students, specifically students in grades 3-12, have access to technology in support of continuous learning to the greatest extent possible. On Wednesday, we plan to share more about how families can request to borrow a computer from the district.
  • SF Playgrounds Closed: The SF Recreation and Park Department is reminding residents that all playgrounds are currently CLOSED to the public. This is to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and practice social distancing.
  • Free Meals for Families: SFUSD is providing free meals to all children 18 and younger during the school closure at 20 sites. No identification or proof of school enrollment is required. If possible, families are asked to pick up meals with a child present but no one will be turned away. SFUSD can now give student meals to an adult family member even without a child present thanks to donations received to cover the costs. Also, we've heard your feedback, and this week more fresh items are available in our pick-up meals: bagels & cream cheese, waffles, turkey & cheese sandwiches, and more.
    • Our closest site is AP Giannini Middle School on Ortega Street, Monday-Friday, 9-10am
